Hi, I’m Sahana — a Data Engineer with 11+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC/IICS, SQL, ETL and cloud data technologies.

Over the years, I’ve worked on enterprise data projects, building ETL solutions, solving real-world data challenges, and leading PowerCenter-to-IDMC migrations.

I started Insights with Sahana to share what I’ve learned along the way — practical IDMC concepts, migration experiences, troubleshooting tips, data engineering insights, and things that I’ve discovered through real project work.

I’m also passionate about Generative AI and exploring how AI can make data engineering, ETL development, documentation, migration and testing smarter.

I was also fortunate to be part of the winning team at Informatica’s HackAIthon 2024, where we won 1st place and the Grand Prize.

This blog is simply a place for me to learn, share, and make complex technology a little easier to understand.
